Miss Chef® Apple and stem ginger cake

Ingrédients
- 500g Miss Chef® Apples (or 4 apples)
- 250g white flour
- 250g caster sugar
- 250g eggs (or 5 eggs)
- 1pinch of fleur de sel
- 50g melted butter
- 15g stem ginger
Préparation
- Mix the flour, sugar, eggs and salt together in a mixing bowl and then add the warm butter.
- Wash, peel and core the apples. Cut them into large cubes.
- Fry the apples in the butter and sugar.
- Cut the stem ginger into tiny cubes.
- Grease a loaf tin and put a layer of cake mix in the bottom followed by a layer of apples and then a layer of stem ginger. Repeat until the loaf tin is ¾ full.
- Bake in the middle of the oven for 40 minutes at 180°C. Leave to cool on a wire rack.
Trucs et astuces
For an even more tempting treat, coat the inside of the loaf tin with caster sugar before adding the cake mix. This will make the outside of the cake slightly caramelised and crunchy when cooked.
