The classic Miss Chef® strudel

Ingrédients
Pastry
- 250 g flour
- 80 g butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 pinch of salt
- 125 g tepid water
- 1 egg yolk for glazing
Garniture
- 4 Miss Chef® apples
- 50 g raisins
- 50 g pinenuts
- 150 g caster sugar
- 10 g powdered
- cinnamon
- icing sugar
Préparation
- In a large and lightly floured mixing bowl, lightly mix the flour, butter, eggs, salt and tepid water until you get an even paste.
- Cover and leave to rest for 30 minutes in the refrigerator
- Wash, peel and core the apples. Cut them into quarters. Soak the raisins in boiling water for 10 minutes.
- Roll out the pastry into a rectangle 30 cm x 40 cm or 30 cm x 50 cm onto a floured tea towel. Place the apples, raisins and pine nuts on top. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
- Use the tea towel to roll the pastry making sure all the filling remains tightly packed inside. Place on a baking sheet. Tuck the sides underneath.
- In a small bowl, whisk the yolk with a teaspoon of water and glaze the strudel with a brush.
- Place in the oven on the middle shelf and cook for 45 minutes at 180°C. Remove from the oven, place on a cooling rack. When cool, sprinkle with icing sugar.

Use a mesh tea ball (or sieve) for an even coating of icing sugar.
